Well, more specifically, the original Universal Google Analytics is being phased out and replaced with Google Analytics 4.
This will effect everyone who’s using Google Analytics to monitor website traffic. On all sites built by RedSpiralHand you will find your web stats displayed in your WordPress dashboard via the Monster Insights plugin. If MonsterInsights is set up currently to draw data from the original Google Analytics you will need to switch that to Google Analytics 4.
Even though Google is not ending data collection on Google Analytics until July 1, 2023, it’s important to realize that historical data will NOT be be able to be ported over to the new version. So you will want to get set up on the new version soon so that you can start collecting data and have some historical data under your belt.
Historical data cannot be bulk exported from the original Google Analytics but there are some ways to capture snapshots of data and export them in PDF documents. It might be a good idea just to archive a few years this way for comparison.

We recommend capturing basic traffic data for 1-2 years prior before you switch over to GA4.
